Michael Dorn
Michael Dorn, born on December 9, 1952, is a prominent American actor and voice artist, renowned for his portrayal of the Klingon character Worf in the Star Trek universe.
Hailing from Luling, Texas, Dorn is the son of Allie Lee (née Nauls) and Fentress Dorn, Jr. He spent his formative years in Pasadena, California, where he developed an interest in radio and television production at Pasadena City College. Initially, he embarked on a musical career, performing with various rock bands and traveling between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Dorn made his film debut in 1976 with an uncredited role as Apollo Creed's bodyguard in Rocky. His television journey began in 1978 with a guest appearance on the show W.E.B. His performance caught the attention of the producer, who subsequently connected him with an agent. This led to six months of acting training under the guidance of Charles Conrad. Following his studies, Dorn secured a regular role on the popular series CHiPs, marking the beginning of a successful acting career that would eventually lead him to the iconic role of Worf, a character he would become synonymous with in the Star Trek franchise.
