Kongkiat Khomsiri
Kongkiat Khomsiri, affectionately known as Khom, is a talented Thai director and screenwriter. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Mass Communications at Bangkok University, which laid the foundation for his cinematic journey. His career began as a crew member on the groundbreaking feature film Mysterious Object at Noon, directed by the acclaimed Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
Kongkiat further honed his skills at Five Star Production, collaborating with director Thanit Jitnukul on notable films such as Bang Rajan and Kunpan: Legend of the Warlord. In 2005, he made his mark in the industry with his directorial debut, Art of the Devil 2, as part of the collaborative "Ronin Team" of seven directors. This project highlighted his unique vision and storytelling abilities.
Kongkiat's solo directorial debut came in 2007 with Muay Thai Chaiya, where he showcased his distinctive style and passion for Thai culture. His work continues to resonate within the film community, earning him recognition as a vital figure in contemporary Thai cinema. Through his innovative storytelling and dedication to the craft, Kongkiat Khomsiri has established himself as a prominent voice in the industry.
