Neva Howell

Neva Howell embarked on her acting journey in New York before relocating to Los Angeles, where she honed her craft under the guidance of esteemed instructors such as Stephen Tobolowsky and Lisa Dalton. A significant part of her training also included completing the initial level of The Groundlings program with Patrick Bristow, which she regards as pivotal experiences during her time in LA.

Neva's on-screen career is marked by a variety of compelling roles. She portrayed Ma Kent in the anticipated film Superman (2025) and took on the role of Ms. Crawford in the dark comedy Greedy People (2024). Her memorable performance as the tough Miss Roberts in Ghosts of the Ozarks (2021) further showcased her versatility. Notably, she played Gina, a controversial clerk, in Burden (2018), which earned the Audience Award for drama at the Sundance Film Festival that same year.

With over three decades of experience, Neva has brought to life a wide array of characters typically from small-town settings. She played the relatable Alma in Mercy Street (2016) and delivered an inside joke in Logan (2017) that fans of Steven Soderbergh might appreciate. Her comedic talents shine through in roles such as Sister Eleanor in Novitiate (2017) and a no-nonsense waitress in The King Has Left the Building (2016).

Beyond acting, Neva is passionate about holistic health and wellness, having served as a full-time healing facilitator.
