Diane Rehm
Diane Rehm, born Diane Aed on September 21, 1936, is a distinguished voice in American public radio and an influential advocate for the right to die movement. She is best known for her work as the host of the acclaimed podcast, *Diane Rehm: On My Mind*, produced at WAMU, which is affiliated with American University in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she leads a monthly book club series, *Diane Rehm Book Club*, also at WAMU.
Rehm gained national recognition as the host of *The Diane Rehm Show*, a program that aired on public radio and was distributed both nationally and internationally by National Public Radio (NPR). After announcing her retirement following the 2016 elections, the final episode aired on December 23 of that year. Subsequently, she transitioned to the podcasting realm, launching her weekly podcast in January 2017.
In addition to her broadcasting career, Rehm co-produced, narrated, and interviewed for the PBS documentary *When My Time Comes*, which explores critical issues surrounding end-of-life choices. This project was complemented by her 2020 book of the same name, published by Knopf. The Washington Post has recognized her as a prominent figure in the conversation surrounding the right to die, solidifying her role as a pivotal advocate in this important societal debate.
