Born and raised in Akowonjo, Lagos, Nigeria, Temi Ami-Williams is a multifaceted artist with an impressive educational background. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos in 2018. Furthering her academic pursuits, Temi completed a Master’s Degree in Anthropology and Ethnochoreology of Dance and Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023 through the prestigious Choreomundus program, a collaboration among esteemed institutions such as the Université Clermont Auvergne in France, University of Szeged in Hungary, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and the University of Roehampton in London, all funded by the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree scholarship.

Temi is a passionate cultural advocate and creative entrepreneur, excelling as an actor, voice-over artist, costume designer, performance artist, and dance researcher. As the Creative Director of New Wine Studios, she focuses on creating innovative experimental and ethnographic films. Her acting prowess has made history; she is the first Nigerian actress to be recognized at the Pan African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou, winning the Best Young Actor award from West Africa in 2021 for her role in the feature film "Eyimofe: This is My Desire," directed by Arie and Chuko Esiri. The film premiered at the 70th Berlinale in 2020 and garnered multiple accolades in international film festivals before its global release. In addition, Temi received a nomination for The Future Awards Prize for Acting in 2021. With nearly a decade of experience, she also serves as the Chief Creative Officer at Unteamed Nigeria, a company she founded specializing in costuming for various media.
