Tres Hanley

Tres Hanley is a distinguished opera singer and actress, who honed her craft at the prestigious Juilliard School. As a teenager, she garnered attention as a protégé of the legendary Leonard Bernstein, performing as a soloist in the Great Composers Series, where she showcased his piece "Glitter and Be Gay" from *Candide*. Hanley initially made her mark in musical theatre, but she later made a successful transition to television and film. Notably, she portrayed Polly Peachum in a London production of *The Beggar's Opera*, which was part of the acclaimed Open Air Theatre summer season at Holland, Cannizaro, and Regent's Parks in the 1990s.

In the mid to late 1990s, Hanley gained widespread recognition across Germany and Europe as the iconic Bacardi girl, and she starred alongside Toby Jones in a popular comic commercial for NCR. In 2007, she released the European dance single "Dance of the Euro Diva," composed by Éric Serra for the film *The Fifth Element*.

Hanley's personal life has been equally colorful, with notable relationships including actor Javier Bardem, British TV personality James Hewitt, and lyricist Charles Hart, who contributed to her album *A Siren’s Odyssey*. Rumored liaisons included Hugh Grant and Prince Albert of Monaco. Since 2003, she has been married to architect Paul Millman. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Hanley is a committed vegan and actively supports animal rights causes.

Trivia: Hanley was initially cast in a minor role in *Eyes Wide Shut*, but her scenes were ultimately cut due to Stanley Kubrick's extensive rewrites. She also contributed her vocal talents to the soundtrack of *Mouth to Mouth* (Boca A Boca), singing "Si Senor."
