Joshua Ryan Evans (January 10, 1982 – August 5, 2002) was a talented American actor celebrated for his memorable portrayal of Timmy Lenox on the soap opera "Passions." Despite being a teenager during his time on the show, he had the stature and voice of a child due to achondroplasia, standing at 3 feet 2 inches tall.

Hailing from Hayward, California, Evans embarked on his acting career at just twelve years old, featuring in numerous television commercials. His film career began in earnest with a role as a toddler in the 1999 movie "Baby Geniuses." He soon captivated audiences as the young Grinch in the beloved holiday classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Additionally, he portrayed General Tom Thumb in the A&E film "P.T. Barnum" and made guest appearances in popular series such as "Ally McBeal," "7th Heaven," and "Poltergeist: The Legacy."

Evans joined "Passions" in 1999, where his character, a doll animated by the wicked witch Tabitha Lenox, quickly became a fan favorite. His exceptional performance earned him a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2000 and secured him two Soap Opera Digest Awards in both 2000 and 2001. Tragically, Evans passed away on August 5, 2002, during surgery to address a congenital heart condition, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable talent and a lasting impact on his audience.
