Liù Bosisio
Liù Bosisio, originally named Luigia Bosisio Mauri, is a versatile Italian actress, voice actress, and playwright, born in Milan. She embarked on her acting journey by studying at the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in her hometown from 1953 to 1955. Throughout her career, Bosisio showcased her talent on stage, performing with the renowned Luca Ronconi company, and she also made a name for herself as a stand-up comedian.
Though she took on various character roles in films, her most iconic portrayal is that of "Pina," the beloved wife of Paolo Villaggio in the popular Fantozzi film series. Bosisio's television career began in 1956, allowing her to reach a wider audience. However, in 1983, she decided to concentrate primarily on her stage performances, further solidifying her reputation as a formidable talent in the theatre scene.
In addition to her on-screen and stage work, Bosisio lent her voice to several characters, most notably serving as the Italian voice of Marge Simpson for the first 21 seasons of The Simpsons. Her contributions to the entertainment industry, spanning multiple decades, have made her a cherished figure in Italian cinema and television.
