Joanne Peh emerged onto the entertainment scene after clinching the titles of Miss Elegant and Miss Personality at the Miss Singapore Universe 2002 pageant. Her captivating presence caught the attention of MediaCorp, where she began her career as a television actress. Balancing her burgeoning career with university studies proved challenging, yet her dedication paid off; she was honored with both the Most Popular Newcomer award and a spot among the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes at the Star Awards 2004.

Upon graduating from Nanyang Technological University's School of Communication and Information, Joanne fully committed to her acting career, showcasing her talent in a variety of popular drama series. Her performances in productions like Like Father, Like Daughter, The Golden Path, The Little Nyonya, and A Tale of 2 Cities garnered widespread acclaim. Notably, her portrayal of Yuzhu in The Little Nyonya, a character defined by her tragic yet virtuous nature, earned her critical praise and a nomination for Best Actress at the Star Awards 2009.

Joanne ventured into film in 2004 with a role in Jack Neo's The Best Bet, but it was her performance in the 2011 festive blockbuster It’s A Great Great World that truly showcased her versatility as an actress, solidifying her status in the industry.
