Jonathan Salway is a talented teacher and actor who honed his craft at the Drama Studio in London and the University of California. His impressive career includes performances in London's West End, where he shared the stage with notable actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch. Jonathan has showcased his versatility through various roles with prestigious companies like the Royal Shakespeare Company and the BBC, as well as appearing in Londongrad for Russian television. His extensive touring experiences have taken him across the UK, Ireland, Italy, and Germany.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has taken on memorable roles, including Gerald in "An Inspector Calls," Trotter in Agatha Christie’s "The Mousetrap," Sherlock Holmes, Frank in "Educating Rita," and Puck in "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." As a director, he has brought award-winning productions to the Edinburgh Festival, such as the co-devised "A Space Oddity" and the musical "The Selfish Gene The Musical."
In addition to his acting and directing work, Jonathan serves as the Artistic Director of the Moscow English Theatre. He has participated in numerous performances at the Mayakovsky Theatre in Moscow and has toured to Kaliningrad, enriching the cultural landscape with his talents.
