Thérèse Dorny

Thérèse Dorny, originally named Thérèse Jeanne Longo-Dorni, was born on September 18, 1891, in Paris, Île-de-France, France. She was the only child of Gaudence Jean Baptiste Marie Longo-Dorni and Marie Antonia Longo-Dorni (née Junghaans). Dorny embarked on her artistic journey as a stage actress in 1913, captivating audiences with her talent and charisma.

Her transition to film came in 1930 with her appearance in "The Sweetness of Loving," but it was her roles in notable films such as "Cognasse" (1932) and the classic thriller "Les Diaboliques" (1955) that solidified her reputation in the cinematic world.
