Following his tenure in television, Casaliggi pursued a new path by training to become a firefighter. He joined the New York City Fire Department, where he served with distinction at Engine 7. On September 11, 2001, Casaliggi and his team were among the first responders to arrive at the World Trade Center following the tragic terrorist attacks, exemplifying his commitment to public service during a critical moment in history.
In 2010, he expanded his entrepreneurial spirit by launching a clothing line called 'Hoist Your Colors,' which reflects his passion for creativity and self-expression.
