Ito Kentarō, an accomplished Japanese actor and model, was born in Tokyo and began his modeling career at the young age of 14 in 2012. He signed with Bonn Image modeling agency in 2014, where he initially focused on advertising projects. His breakthrough came with a supporting role in the popular drama series "Hirugao: Heijitsu Gogo 3 Ji no Koibito Tachi," which showcased his talent and garnered significant attention.

In 2015, Ito made his film debut in "My Story!" and continued to gain recognition for his performances in various television dramas, including "Gakko no Kaidan" and "Aogeba Toutoshi." By 2017, he secured leading roles, notably portraying a motorcycle gang leader in "Demekin" and the young samurai lord Tadakiyo Kuhachiro Hagi in the romantic time-travel series "Ashi Girl." His versatility and charisma won him a dedicated fanbase, who affectionately refer to him as "Icchan."

On his 21st birthday in 2018, Ito announced his decision to adopt his full name, Ito Kentaro, as his stage name. He continued to expand his portfolio with numerous film and TV roles. However, his career faced a serious hurdle when he was involved in a car accident in Shibuya Ward on October 28, 2020, resulting in injuries to two motorcyclists. Though he was arrested for an alleged hit-and-run, the investigation was suspended in March 2021 after a settlement was reached. Currently, he is represented by the agency Aoao.
