**Robert Arevalo Biography**
Robert Arevalo, an accomplished actor and martial artist, began his journey in the entertainment industry while working at a bar in Beverly Hills. There, he received pivotal advice from film legend Sylvester Stallone, who encouraged him to "create your own opportunities." This mantra guided Arevalo as he pursued his passion for film.
His career took a significant turn when he became an assistant on the Twentieth Century Fox lot, where he forged a friendship with renowned director Robert Rodriguez. This connection led to Arevalo's breakout role as the Opponent, a character with a broken leg, in the acclaimed 1995 film *Desperado*, sharing the screen with stars Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. His collaboration with Hayek continued when she recommended him for a role as Miguel Fuentes, one of her brothers, in the romantic comedy *Fools Rush In*, directed by Andy Tennant.
In addition to his acting career, Arevalo has a deep dedication to martial arts. He trained under Chad Stahelski, the director of the *John Wick* series, specializing in Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do under the esteemed Guro Dan Inosanto. Arevalo is proficient in kali and holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Rigan Machado. He also imparted his skills in jiujitsu and Judo at 87 Eleven Action Design, Stahelski's stunt team. Proudly, Arevalo is an enrolled member of the Chiricahua Apache Nation, reflecting his rich heritage.
