Mehdi El Glaoui
Mehdi El Glaoui, born Mehdi El Mezouari El Glaoui on May 26, 1956, is a retired French actor, director, and screenwriter. He is the son of renowned actress Cécile Aubry and Si Brahim El Glaoui, the local caïd of Telouet, making him the grandson of Thami El Glaoui, the former pasha of Marrakech.
El Glaoui began his acting career at the tender age of 5 in the television series Poly, a project produced by his mother. He portrayed his character over several sequels, spanning nine seasons, until he turned 14. Notably, he also starred in the series Belle et Sébastien, which gained popularity in the UK as a holiday favorite thanks to its English dubbing.
After a prolonged hiatus from acting, El Glaoui returned to the screen in 2005 and 2006, appearing in the France 3 shows 12-14 and Pour le plaisir. During this time, he shared insights into his life in near Dax, Landes, where he indulges his passion for collecting classic cars and operating a musical café.
