Arlen Escarpeta

Arlen Alexander Escarpeta, born on April 9, 1981, is a talented Belizean actor known for his diverse roles in both film and television. He gained significant recognition in 2004 for his compelling performance as an honor student in the independent drama *American Gun*, which debuted at the Toronto Film Festival and featured notable actors like Forrest Whitaker, Marcia Gay Harden, and Donald Sutherland. The following year, he appeared alongside Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox in *We Are Marshall*, a poignant true story about the aftermath of a catastrophic plane crash affecting Marshall University's football team.

Escarpeta continued to diversify his portfolio with a role in the comedy *The Ten*, which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, and appeared in Carl Franklin's courtroom thriller *High Crimes*, starring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd. His television career began with a breakout role in NBC's *American Dreams*, where he portrayed Sam Walker, a young Black man navigating the societal changes of the 1960s.
