Michelle Johnston
Michelle Johnston is an accomplished director, choreographer, and movement coach whose career spans over two decades. Renowned for her versatility, she excels both in front of and behind the camera, consistently showcasing her vast expertise. Her most recent directorial project is the Nickelodeon film “Blurt,” featuring stars Jace Norman and JoJo Siwa. Additionally, she directed and produced the 2016 film “A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits,” which aired on Freeform and Disney Channel.
Johnston's choreography has graced various television shows, including “Castle,” “Mistresses,” “Parks & Recreation,” “American Dreams,” and “Mad Men,” as well as films like “A Cinderella Story,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” and “Gangster Squad.” She has collaborated with a plethora of celebrated actors and musicians, including Jane Krakowski, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Demi Moore, and John Travolta.
Her career took a significant leap when she served as choreographer for Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl” World Tour and contributed to the “Girlie Show” World Tour. Johnston has also partnered with artists such as Alicia Keys, Ritchie Sambora, Lil’ Kim, Hilary Duff, and Kelly Rowland. In the realm of theater, she starred alongside Oscar-nominated actress Lesley Ann Warren in “Dream” and toured with the Tony Award-winning production of “Fosse.” Continuously exploring new avenues, Michelle Johnston remains dedicated to developing her diverse talents and sharing them with audiences.
