Eva Lyberten, born Herminia Benito in Barcelona on December 20, 1958, is a distinguished Spanish actress whose career has spanned several decades. At the young age of 15, she immersed herself in the world of performing arts by attending a School of Dramatic Art, followed by training in dance and jazz at a local academy in Barcelona. By 18, she had made her television debut in Catalonia, appearing in the series "The Saga of the Rius," and shortly thereafter, she took on supporting roles in various films shot in Barcelona in 1975.

Lyberten's career took a pivotal turn after her role in the film "La ciutat cremada" (1976), directed by Antoni Ribas, which led her to Ibiza. Upon returning, she was selected from a large pool of candidates to perform as a vedette in the renowned Music-hall "Crazy Horse," a cornerstone of Spain's emerging erotic entertainment scene during the democratic transition. Her year-long stint was met with significant acclaim, propelling her into a series of erotic films, particularly those helmed by director Ignacio F. Iquino.

As the 1980s approached and the popularity of "S" rated films began to wane, Eva sought to redefine her image beyond erotic roles. This shift became evident with her participation in Fernando Trueba's "Sal Gorda" (1984), where she showcased her talent as a supporting actress in a more substantive role. Despite a gradual decline in her film appearances thereafter, Eva Lyberten remains a notable figure in Spanish cinema.
