Jason Reso
William Jason Reso, a prominent European Canadian professional wrestler and actor, is widely recognized in the wrestling world under his ring name, Christian Cage. Currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), he collaborates with the Jurassic Express faction. Reso's wrestling career began in 1995, and he gained early experience competing in Canadian independent circuits alongside his close friend, Edge.
His major breakthrough came in 1998 when he signed with WWE, where he made an immediate impact by winning the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in his debut match. Reso and Edge formed a celebrated tag team, known for their thrilling performances in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches, capturing the World Tag Team Championship seven times. After the duo parted ways in 2001, Reso established himself as a singles competitor, claiming the European, Hardcore, and Intercontinental Championships.
In 2005, Reso transitioned to TNA, adopting the Christian Cage persona, and achieved notable success by winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship twice. After a brief return to WWE from 2009 to 2014, where he secured both the ECW and World Heavyweight Championships twice, he retired due to health concerns related to concussions.
Reso's accolades include being the twenty-third Triple Crown Champion and the eleventh Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. He made a surprise return to wrestling in June 2020 and participated in the 2021 Royal Rumble. Shortly thereafter, he joined AEW, reclaiming his Christian Cage identity, and celebrated a triumphant return to Impact Wrestling by capturing the Impact World Championship at AEW Rampage, marking his first appearance in the promotion since 2012.
