Kevin R. Wright
Kevin R. Wright is a distinguished executive producer known for his pivotal role in the hit series Loki (2021-2023), which has been hailed as one of the standout offerings in Marvel Studios’ Disney+ lineup, earning six Emmy nominations. Prior to his success at Marvel, Wright served as the Vice President of Production and Development, where he contributed to numerous projects before launching his independent film and television production ventures.
Originally from Philadelphia, Wright put his aspirations in film school on hold to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps shortly before the events of September 11, 2001. During his four years of service, he worked as a combat correspondent, gaining valuable storytelling experience. After returning to civilian life, he pursued a degree in writing for film and television at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he graduated as valedictorian.
Wright’s career took off when he joined Marvel Studios, starting as a development assistant and advancing to production and development manager for Doctor Strange (2016). His journey culminated in his role as associate producer on Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), leading to his promotion as a producer for Loki. He is credited with creating a detailed 30-page pitch that laid the groundwork for the series, including the introduction of the Time Variance Authority, which later became a significant element in other Marvel films. Notably, the second season of Loki was completed on time and under budget, marking a significant achievement in production efficiency.
