Bruce Paul Abbott, born on July 28, 1954, is an accomplished American actor known for his roles in various films and television series. His notable filmography includes appearances in iconic titles such as *Re-Animator*, *Bride of Re-Animator*, *Bad Dreams*, *The Prophecy II*, and *Out of Time*. He also starred in the television series *Dark Justice*, showcasing his versatility across genres.

Abbott's journey in the entertainment industry began at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where he spent three seasons as a dancer and actor in the late 1970s. In 1980, he made the bold move from Portland to Hollywood during an actors' strike, a decision that led to his role as the antagonist in *Tag: The Assassination Game*. It was on this set that he met his first wife, Linda Hamilton, with whom he shares a son, Dalton Bruce, born on October 4, 1989. Dalton later appeared as an infant in *Terminator II*.

Following his divorce from Hamilton around 1989, Abbott met actress Kathleen Quinlan while filming *Trapped* in Dallas. They tied the knot on April 12, 1994, and welcomed a son, Tyler Quinlan, born on October 17, 1990.

Over the years, Abbott has guest-starred in numerous television series, including *Murder, She Wrote*, *Family Law*, and *Diagnosis: Murder*, and even had a recurring role in the short-lived series *The Net*. Now semi-retired from acting, he has pursued a successful career as an architect and artist, contributing to custom home design and creating two of his own residences.
