Rossi became a prominent figure in Italian theater, joining the acclaimed "compagnia dell'Elfo" and creating numerous theatrical monologues and plays that garnered critical acclaim. His work often blended styles reminiscent of Commedia dell'arte, Brecht, and Molière, earning him the description of "an Italic middle way between Dario Fo and Lenny Bruce."
