Liliane Montevecchi (October 13, 1932 – June 29, 2018) was a multifaceted French-Italian performer renowned for her talents as an actress, dancer, and singer. Her artistic journey commenced at the tender age of eight when she began studying dance under Pierre Duprez, the acclaimed primo ballerino of the Paris Opera. Completing her education at the Conservatoire with illustrious instructors like Jeanne Schwarz and Mathilde Kschessinska, she made her stage debut at the Champs Elysées theater in a David Lichine ballet. Montevecchi's early career flourished as she performed for the coronation of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and graced the Casino de Paris stage.

She gained international recognition as a prima ballerina in Roland Petit's dance company and transitioned into film, appearing alongside stars such as Fred Astaire in Daddy Long Legs and Elvis Presley in King Creole. In 1958, she made her Broadway debut in La Plume de Ma Tante and later garnered critical acclaim for her role in the musical Nine, winning both a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress.

Throughout her career, Montevecchi appeared in numerous television series, including Playhouse 90, and starred in films such as Wall Street and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She also showcased her artistry in concerts at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall. Her later years included a notable performance as Mistinguett at the Théâtre National de l’Opéra Comique in Paris.
