Frank Lebœuf
Franck Alain James Leboeuf, widely known as Frank Leboeuf, was born on January 22, 1968, in Marseille, France. He is recognized not only as a former professional footballer, who excelled as a centre-back, but also as an actor and sports commentator. Leboeuf achieved great success on the international stage, winning the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2000 UEFA European Championship with the French national team, alongside numerous domestic titles during his five-year stint at Chelsea FC.
Leboeuf began his football journey in the lower tiers of French football in 1986, eventually joining Laval in 1988. A move to Strasbourg followed in 1991, where he showcased his skills until 1996 when he transferred to Chelsea for £2.5 million. Over his tenure with the London club, he made over 200 appearances and netted 24 goals, predominantly from penalties and set pieces. His time at Chelsea saw him lift two FA Cups, a League Cup, and the Cup Winners' Cup, although he did not secure a top-tier European title.
On the international front, Leboeuf earned 50 caps for France and scored four goals, including a crucial performance in the 1998 World Cup final against Brazil. After his playing career, he ventured into acting, making his debut in "Taking Sides" in 2001. He later moved to Los Angeles, where he played for Hollywood United and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his professional life.
