Zoie Nagelhout serves as a Production & Development Executive at Marvel Studios, a position she has ascended to through a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry. Her early life saw her excel at Chadwick High School, where she captained the Equestrian Team from 2010 to 2011 and contributed to the school's student-run arts magazine, Soundings, from 2007 to 2011. Pursuing her passion for cinema, Zoie graduated from the University of Southern California in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Studies from the esteemed School of Cinematic Arts, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. During her time at USC, she continued her leadership role as Captain of the Equestrian Team.
Zoie gained invaluable experience while still in school, volunteering as a production assistant on the independent mockumentary Ultimate, Ultimate in 2012, where she helped with location scouting and audition coordination. She then broadened her media skills as a television critic for UK Screen and worked as a production intern for Disney Junior and ABC Family. Additionally, she represented ABC at USC, promoting new content through screenings.
In 2014, she took on a role as a Digital Distribution Intern at Lionsgate, before joining Marvel Studios in 2015 as a TV Marketing and Promotions Intern. Her career trajectory at Marvel was swift; she advanced from Production Assistant to Assistant to Executive Producer Nate Moore, eventually becoming Production and Development Manager in March 2017. Her leadership capabilities led to her promotion to Senior Production and Development Manager in November 2018, and by March 2019, she was appointed Director of Production & Development. In August 2021, Zoie reached a significant milestone, being elevated to Vice President of Production & Development, solidifying her status as a key player in the industry.
