Maureen Mountcastle

Maureen Mountcastle is a talented actress and producer who has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, particularly in nurturing new talent. In her commitment to fostering the next generation of performers, she founded Lumina Talent Development, an initiative designed to guide aspiring actors through the intricacies of auditioning for both film and television.

Mountcastle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987. As the film industry began to thrive in North Carolina during the early 2000s, she successfully shifted her focus from theater to screen, embracing the opportunities that arose.

Her production credits include the feature film "TrainWreck," written and directed by Andy Lane, known for "Valley Girl," which featured R. Keith Harris alongside Mountcastle. She also produced the short film "Suit Yourself," which garnered attention at various festivals, including the Durango Film Festival, Cape Fear Film Festival, and Kent Film Festival.

On screen, Mountcastle has demonstrated her versatility with notable roles such as Janet Reno's secretary in the series "Manhunt: Unabomber," as well as Mrs. Hoover in "The Gifted."
