Augusto Barone, born on December 12, 1901, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, was a prominent figure in Brazilian theater, radio, and television. He began his career as a stagehand assistant with the Chaby Pinheiro Company, which allowed him to travel extensively through São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, gaining valuable experience in the performing arts.

Barone collaborated with several notable companies, including the Dulcina-Odilon Company and the troupe of comedian Mesquitinha. His passion for radio led him to work alongside Oduvaldo Vianna at Rádio São Paulo (PRA-5), where he not only honed his skills but also met his future wife, radio actress Leonor Navarro.

Rising through the ranks, Barone took on the role of studio director and led the Radio Drama Department at Rádio São Paulo. He further expanded his career at TV Record and Rádio Piratininga, contributing significantly to the Brazilian entertainment landscape.

His television credits include a noteworthy performance in the 1963 production "A Casa dos Rochedos" on TV Cultura and a role in the popular telenovela "João Juca Jr." on TV Tupi. In 1969, he starred in a series written by Sylvan Paezzo and directed by Walter Avancini, as well as in productions like "Hospital" and "Signo da Esperança."

A recipient of the prestigious Roquette Pinto Radio Award, Barone also made his mark in film with appearances in "Compasso de Espera," "Os Maridos Traem e as Mulheres Subtraem," and "Fora das Grades." He passed away on July 3, 1972, leaving behind four children with Leonor Navarro, marking the end of a rich and influential career in Brazilian arts.
