J.A. Seazer, born Takaaki Terahara on October 6, 1948, is a distinguished Japanese composer renowned for his contributions to film and theater music. He rose to prominence in the 1960s, capturing the hearts of students across Japan with his innovative compositions. A significant collaborator with the influential director Shuji Terayama, Seazer was instrumental in the creative output of Terayama's theater troupe, Tenjo Sajiki, where he composed not only incidental music but also several ambitious rock operas, including the notable work "Shintokumaru."

Seazer is also associated with the Experimental Laboratory of Theatre, known as Ban'yū Inryoku, where his avant-garde approach to music continues to thrive.
