Viire Valdma, born on August 29, 1960, is a prominent Estonian actress known for her work across stage, television, and film. She began her cinematic journey in 1981 with her debut role as Reet Pärn in the drama *Ideaalmaastik*, directed by Peeter Simm. This film, inspired by Karl Helemäe's novel, explores the dilemmas faced by a Young Communist League member on a collective farm.

Her career continued to flourish with a notable performance as Milla in the 1983 film *Nipernaadi*, directed by Kaljo Kiisk, which was adapted from August Gailit's classic novel. In 1989, she showcased her talent in *Varastatud kohtumine*, directed by Leia Laius, and *Doktor Stockmann*, directed by Mikk Mikiver. The following year, she played Liivi in *Regina*, a drama that marked her transition to a focus on stage acting, leading to a hiatus from film until 2002.

Valdma made a comeback in the political thriller *Agent Sinikael*, before taking on the role of Imbi in the 2003 comedy *Made in Estonia*, based on a well-loved radio and TV series. She returned to the big screen in 2007 with *Jan Uuspõld läheb Tartusse* and later starred in *Kuhu põgenevad hinged*, a poignant drama about a troubled teen. In 2018, she portrayed Imbi in *Võta või jäta*, further showcasing her range.
