James Blunt, born James Hillier Blount on February 22, 1974, is a celebrated English singer-songwriter and musician. Before embarking on his music career, Blunt served as a reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards regiment of the British Army, participating in NATO operations during the Kosovo War in 1999.

His musical journey took off in 2004 with the release of his debut album, *Back to Bedlam*, which catapulted him to international stardom. Featuring hit singles like "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover," the album sold over 11 million copies globally, topping the UK Albums Chart and reaching number two in the US.
