Clare McGlinn

Clare McGlinn, the third of several siblings in a lively Irish family, grew up in Manchester, North West UK. Surrounded by a culture of singing, dancing, and entertainment, Clare naturally gravitated towards the performing arts, ultimately choosing to pursue a career in acting. She humorously notes, "Everyone acts and entertains in my family; I’m just lucky enough to get paid for it."

After completing her studies at Bretton Hall College of Performing Arts, Clare began her career by directing drama workshops for adult special needs groups and youth theatre at Bradford Playhouse Theatre. This invaluable experience paved the way for her transition to professional acting. Her breakout role came when she portrayed the fiery Pc. Natalie Metcalfe in the acclaimed series "The Cops," which was produced by the esteemed Tony Garnett, known for his work on "Cathy Come Home," "Kes," and "This Life."

Since that pivotal moment, Clare's career has flourished as she adeptly navigates both stage and screen, showcasing her versatility as an actress. She embraces challenging roles, often pushing her limits with complex scripts that keep her on her toes, especially during opening nights. Her dedication to her craft and her ability to balance various artistic endeavors have solidified her reputation in the performing arts community.
