Alida Chelli
Alida Chelli (October 23, 1943 – December 14, 2012) was a prominent Italian actress, singer, and television hostess, celebrated for her vibrant contributions to musical theater. Born Alida Rustichelli in Carpi, she was the daughter of renowned composer Carlo Rustichelli and sister to composer Paolo Rustichelli.
Chelli's career took off in 1959 with her hit single "Sinnò me moro," which featured in the film *Un maledetto imbroglio*. This marked the beginning of her ascent in the entertainment industry. She became a household name on stage, captivating audiences with her performances in acclaimed musicals such as *Rugantino* (1978) alongside Enrico Montesano, *Cyrano* (1979) with Domenico Modugno, and *Aggiungi un posto a tavola* (1990) featuring Johnny Dorelli.
In addition to her stage success, Chelli appeared in various films, primarily in the comedy genre, and was a familiar face on television. Her personal life included a marriage to actor Walter Chiari, with whom she had a daughter, Simone Annicchiarico. Following their separation, she was in a relationship with popular TV presenter Pippo Baudo.
Chelli passed away at the age of 69 in Rome after battling a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy enriched by her artistic achievements and memorable performances.
