Mauro Soares

Mauro Soares is a celebrated Portuguese actor whose career began in the world of theater while he pursued his Integrated Masters in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. His film debut came with *António One Two Three*, which was featured at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) in 2017. He continued to gain recognition with roles in films such as *Sol Alegria* (IFFR 2018), *Bela Mandil* (Viennale 2018), and *Half a Light-Year*, a project he also produced, which was showcased at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in 2021.

Mauro's talents extend beyond acting; he co-wrote and starred in *Rain Hums a Lullaby to Pain*, which premiered at IFFR in 2020.
