Estelle Skornik
Estelle Skornik, born on July 4, 1971, in Paris, is a French actress recognized in the UK for her role as "Nicole" alongside Max Douchin ("Papa") in a series of Renault Clio commercials.
Skornik has Polish Jewish heritage, with her grandfather tragically losing his life while attempting to flee Auschwitz.
She began her theatrical journey with the Francis Huster Company, where she performed alongside fellow actresses Valérie Crunchant, Christiana Reali, Clotilde Courau, and Valentine Varela. Although she started in the theater, she shifted her focus primarily to film, featuring in the movie Prise au piège, directed by Jérôme Enrico, alongside Lucia Sanchez and Nils Tavernier.
In the UK, she gained significant recognition for her portrayal of "Nicole" in the Renault Clio advertisements, the final of which aired in May 1998, featuring comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. There have been claims that Skornik did not know how to drive during the making of the ads, but she has refuted this assertion.
Additionally, she has performed on stage in the play Home Truths at the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne, England, from May 19 to 24, 1997. Skornik continues to be celebrated for her contributions to both film and theater.
