Makiko Kuno is a talented Japanese actress known for her dynamic career in the entertainment industry. Initially recognized by her stage name Shōko Kuno (久野翔子), she later transitioned to Makiko Kuno (久野真紀子) and adopted the katakana version of her surname in 2005.

Kuno began her journey in modeling during her senior high school years and made her acting debut in 1987. Her early career included participation in the inaugural Pocari Sweat Image Girl Contest in 1986, where she showcased her talent but ultimately finished as a runner-up to 17-year-old Chisato Moritaka. From 1988 to 1994, she served as the image girl for JR East kiosks, solidifying her presence in the industry.

In 1994, she released a notable photo collection titled "Mitsu" and also starred in the original video "XX: Utsukushiki Karyūdo," where she appeared nude. Kuno gained further acclaim in 1998 when she portrayed the character Sunday in the Chunsoft sound novel "Machi," receiving positive reviews for her performance. That same year, she achieved another milestone by qualifying as a sommelier, showcasing her diverse talents beyond acting.
