Fiona O'Shaughnessy
Fiona O'Shaughnessy is a talented actress from Ireland, recognized for her contributions to film, stage, and television.
Born in Galway, she and her family relocated to Reading, Berkshire when she was just nine years old. After spending ten years in England, she returned to Galway to embark on a career in theater.
O'Shaughnessy had a romantic relationship with Irish comedian David McSavage for some time.
One of her most acclaimed performances was as Salome at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. She has appeared in various other productions, including The Shaughraun at the Abbey Theatre, which later moved to the West End's Albery Theatre in 2005. In 2006, she featured in the UK premiere of Jim Nolan's Blackwater Angel at the Finborough Theatre in London. Her work with the Gate Theatre also includes notable productions such as Arms and the Man, Oliver, The Importance of Being Earnest, Pride and Prejudice, Blythe Spirit, Present Laughter (which toured Charleston, South Carolina), See You Next Tuesday, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Additionally, she portrayed Cate in the Irish premiere of Sarah Kane's Blasted.
In film, she has taken on roles such as Clara in Goldfish Memory, The Halo Effect, and The Stronger. Her theater credits further include Hilde Wangle in Lady from the Sea and Petra Stockman in Enemy of the People at London's Arcola Theatre, as well as Amy in The Night Alive at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. O'Shaughnessy gained recognition for her role as Jessica Hyde in the television series Utopia and starred alongside David Troughton in the romantic comedy horror film Nina Forever in 2015.
