Kunichi Nomura (野村 訓市, Nomura Kun'ichi), born on April 10, 1974, in Tokyo, Japan, is a multifaceted talent known for his work as a writer, actor, radio host, book editor, interior designer, creative director, and DJ. He hails from a creative family; his mother, Kouko Nomura, is a food researcher, while his sister, Yuri Nomura, is a renowned chef. Notably, his great-grandfather, Fumio Nomura, was a prominent journalist.

Kunichi's educational journey began at Gakushuin, where he spent the majority of his formative years before graduating high school in 1992. His adventures included a year of study in Texas during his junior year. He later attended Keio University’s Faculty of Policy Management, though his passion for travel led him to explore Asia and Europe extensively.

In 1999, he founded a beach café named Sputnik in Tsujidō Kaigan, which he ran until 2005. Inspired by the counterculture movement of the 1960s, he embarked on a unique project in 2004, traveling Japan in a double-decker bus, organizing events and collaborating with various artists.

Kunichi gained recognition with his 2000 publication, *Sputnik: Whole Life Catalogue*, featuring interviews with 86 global artists. This marked the beginning of his career as a freelance writer and editor, where he engaged with influential figures such as Wes Anderson and Haruki Murakami. He established Tripster Inc. in 2004, focusing on interior design for various commercial projects.

From 2015 to 2017, he served as the creative director for the subculture magazine Studio Voice. His film credits include appearances in Sofia Coppola's *Lost in Translation* and Wes Anderson’s *The Grand Budapest Hotel* and *Isle of Dogs*, the latter of which he contributed to as a co-writer and casting
