Carlos Guerrero

Carlos Guerrero, a Miami native born to Daisy and the renowned Cuban actor and poet Jorge Raul Guerrero, is the second of six siblings. His journey into the world of performance began in his father’s arms, where he made his initial foray into acting as a young child. Over the years, Carlos has showcased his versatility through a variety of leading and guest star roles in theater, television, and film. His impressive resume includes appearances in popular series such as *Banshee*, *Bloodline*, *Burn Notice*, *The Glades*, and *Prison Break*. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Carlos has successfully navigated both American and Hispanic entertainment industries and is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild.

One of his significant achievements is the film *Promises*, which he not only wrote but also starred in, portraying a self-made millionaire who faces the challenges of homelessness. For this role, Carlos underwent an eight-month transformation, as he opted for authenticity over makeup. *Promises* garnered multiple accolades, including three Best Actor awards for Carlos, along with honors for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Family Picture, among others. The film was released on DVD and digital platforms on September 29, 2015.

Carlos attributes much of his wisdom to his father, who instilled in him the importance of pursuing one’s passions. He now shares this philosophy with his four children, including his son Carlos Guerrero Jr. and daughter Nina Guerrero, both of whom are also carving out their own paths in acting, continuing the Guerrero legacy.
