Vasco Pimentel

Vasco Pimentel is a distinguished Portuguese sound engineer and sound designer, celebrated for his multifaceted contributions to the world of film and theater. He honed his craft at the National Conservatory, where he studied music, and furthered his education in film at the National School of Theater and Cinema in Lisbon. Over his extensive career, which began in 1979, Pimentel has lent his expertise to over 130 feature films, alongside a multitude of documentaries and short films.

Pimentel has worked alongside acclaimed filmmakers such as Wim Wenders, Raul Ruiz, Werner Schroeter, Samuel Fuller, Vincent Gallo, Fred Kelemen, Robert Kramer, João Cesar Monteiro, Miguel Gomes, and Teresa Villaverde.
