Ess Hödlmoser

Ess Hödlmoser (they/them, he/him) is a talented trans non-binary actor, stunt artist, and circus performer.

Their captivating on-screen charisma has led to notable roles, including "Cindy" in Season 2 of The Boys, "M" in the second and third seasons of Motherland: Fort Salem, and "Copperhead" in Code 8.

Initially entering the industry as a stunt performer and stunt double, Ess's remarkable flexibility and unique movement style have enabled them to embody various creatures, monsters, and supernatural beings across numerous television series and films. Their impressive credits include work on projects such as IT, A Simple Favor, Wish Upon, The Handmaid’s Tale, Umbrella Academy, What We Do In The Shadows, The Strain, Killjoys, Taken, 12 Monkeys, and The Expanse, among others.

Beyond their on-screen achievements, Ess has received significant recognition for their off-stage endeavors. Their contortion duo act with partner Troy James, choreographed by Roberto Campanella, earned distinguished accolades including the Prix Moulin Rouge at the esteemed 40th Festival du Cirque de Demain in Paris, France; the Special Prize from the State Circus of Belarus at the 6th International China Circus Festival; and a Golden Buzzer on La France A Un Incroyable Talent in Paris.
