Josh Swickard

Josh Swickard is a talented American actor, producer, and model, renowned for his dynamic roles in both television and film. He is particularly celebrated for his portrayal of Detective Harrison Chase on the long-running ABC soap opera *General Hospital*, a role he has embraced since 2018. Swickard also captured audiences' hearts as Joseph Van Aston in Netflix's romantic films *A California Christmas* (2020) and its sequel *A California Christmas: City Lights* (2021), which he co-produced alongside his wife, Lauren Swickard, who also penned the screenplay.

Born in Quincy, Illinois, to Bob, a pastor, and Gina, a vocal coach, Josh is the second of four siblings, with three sisters. He attended Glenwood High School before pursuing accounting at the College of DuPage. However, he pivoted to modeling, successfully working for notable brands like Men's Health, Sports Illustrated, and Guess over a six-year span in Chicago.

Swickard's acting career took off in 2015 with roles in Disney Channel series such as *Liv and Maddie* and *K.C. Undercover*. His film debut came in 2017 with *Roped*, directed by Shaun Paul Piccinino, where he starred alongside Casper Van Dien.

In his personal life, Josh proposed to actress Lorynn York on Christmas Day 2018, and they married in July 2019. The couple welcomed their daughter, Savannah Kaye Swickard, in April 2021. Outside of work, Josh enjoys skiing, hiking, and volunteering in Central America.
