Märt Pius

Märt Pius, born on February 4, 1989, is an accomplished Estonian actor known for his work in theater, television, and film, with his career taking off in the 2010s. He hails from Tallinn, where he was born to parents Jüri and Nelli Pius (née Paap). Märt shares a special bond with his twin brother, Priit Pius, who is also an actor. In addition to his twin, he has an older brother and two half-siblings from his father's previous marriage.

Märt's early education took place in Tallinn, but the family later relocated to the quaint village of Mällikvere in Jõgeva County. He completed his secondary education there in 2008. Following high school, Märt and Priit pursued their passion for acting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating in 2012. During his studies, Märt showcased his talent in productions such as Edward Tudor in Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper and Aapo in Aleksis Kivi's Seven Brothers.

In his personal life, Märt has been in a committed relationship with actress Saara Kadak since 2015, and they tied the knot on June 9, 2019. The couple is blessed with two children: a daughter born on March 25, 2017, and a son born on May 31, 2020. They currently reside in Tallinn. Both Märt and Priit live with type 1 diabetes and actively advocate for awareness surrounding the condition.
