Mack Wilberg
Mack Wilberg has been the esteemed music director of The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square since March 28, 2008, after serving as the associate music director since May 1999. In this pivotal role, he oversees all musical and creative elements of both the Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, guiding them through rehearsals, performances, tours, and recordings, in addition to the weekly broadcast of "Music & the Spoken Word."
A distinguished educator, Dr. Wilberg previously held a position as a music professor at Brigham Young University. He is also an accomplished composer, arranger, guest conductor, and clinician, making significant contributions both nationally and internationally. His works, which are exclusively published by Oxford University Press, are widely recognized and performed by choral groups around the globe. Dr. Wilberg earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, followed by both his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Southern California.
In his personal life, Mack Wilberg is married to Rebecca, and together they are proud parents of four children, as well as grandparents to one granddaughter. His dedication to music and education continues to leave a profound impact on the choral community.
