**Biography of Mandy Chan Chi-Man**

Born in 1963 in Hong Kong, Mandy Chan Chi-Man was deeply influenced by his father, But Fan Chan, a renowned Chinese calligrapher. In 1976, Mandy and his family relocated to Boston, where his fascination with martial arts ignited at the age of 12 after watching Bruce Lee in *Enter the Dragon*. His formative years in Boston’s Chinatown saw him learn kung fu under the guidance of notable figures such as Donnie Yen and John S. Additionally, he explored Chinese cultural arts through dance classes, which sparked his enthusiasm for performance.

At 20, Mandy returned to Hong Kong in 1983, embarking on a prolific film career alongside his friend Donnie Yen. Over the years, he has appeared in over 50 films, spanning various genres, including notable titles like *Bloodsport*, *Legend of the Wolf*, and *Drunken Tai Chi*. Apart from acting, he has also worked as an action director on projects such as *The Six Devil Women* and *The Green Hornet*. Mandy honed his craft under the mentorship of the esteemed Yuen brothers, Yuen Woo-ping and Yuen Cheung-yan, who are celebrated for their contributions to iconic films like *The Matrix* and *Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon*.

Currently, Mandy operates Ultimate Film Studio Production and Sky Lab Video Entertainment, offering a range of video production services. He teaches filmmaking at Bunker Hill College in Massachusetts and leads a martial arts film program at the Chinese Martial Arts of Acton, empowering students with his extensive knowledge of film production and martial arts choreography.
