Christopher Michael Pratt, born on June 21, 1979, is a prominent American actor celebrated for his performances in both television series and action films. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Andy Dwyer in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, which aired from 2009 to 2015. His portrayal earned him critical praise and a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013. Earlier in his career, Pratt was known for his role as Bright Abbott in the WB drama Everwood, which ran from 2002 to 2006. He also appeared in several notable films including Wanted (2008), Jennifer's Body (2009), Moneyball (2011), The Five-Year Engagement (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2013), Delivery Man (2013), and Her (2013).

Pratt's ascent to leading man status came in 2014, with standout performances in two hit films: The Lego Movie, where he voiced Emmet Brickowski, and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, portraying Star-Lord. He continued to find success in blockbuster franchises, starring in Jurassic World (2015) and its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).
