Reza Aslan

Reza Aslan is a prominent Iranian-American scholar known for his expertise in religious studies, as well as his work as an author and television host. Born on May 3, 1972, in Tehran, Iran, Aslan and his family immigrated to the United States following the Iranian Revolution in 1979. He pursued his education at Santa Clara University, later obtaining a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in the sociology of religion from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Aslan gained widespread recognition with the publication of his book, "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth," in 2013. This critically acclaimed work offers a historical perspective on Jesus, blending scholarly research with engaging narrative, and became a bestseller.
