Tiffany Denise Hobbs
Tiffany Denise Hobbs, hailing from Augusta, Georgia, embarked on her artistic journey at the tender age of three when she began dancing. As she grew, her enthusiasm for theater and music blossomed, enriching her dreams of becoming a versatile performing artist. With over twenty years of rigorous training at esteemed institutions such as Southern Methodist University, Yale, The Second City, and Upright Citizens Brigade, Tiffany thrives on bringing stories to life, whether on stage, on screen, or during rehearsals.
Tiffany has made significant strides in her acting career, including her tenure with the Brierley Resident Acting Company at the Dallas Theater Center and her prominent role at Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre. She gained national recognition for her portrayal of Shenzi in the National Tour of The Lion King from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, she became a part of the Broadway cast of Waitress, a musical collaboration between Sara Bareilles, Jessie Nelson, and Diane Paulus. Her talent was acknowledged in 2019 when she earned a nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play from the Connecticut Critics Circle Awards for her role as Olivia in Twelfth Night at the Yale Repertory Theatre. Additionally, she portrayed Ursula in the acclaimed New York Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Kenny Leon.
On the small screen, Tiffany has appeared in a variety of popular series, including Donald Glover's FX hit Atlanta, Netflix’s Ozark and The Haunting of Hill House, and CBS shows like MacGyver and Bull. She also guest-starred as Penelope Van Summers in TNT’s drama Claws, and she is set to feature in several upcoming series in the 2022 season.
