Vince Staples
Vincent Jamal Staples, born on July 2, 1993, is an influential American rapper and singer known for his sharp lyricism and innovative sound. He is part of the hip-hop collective Cutthroat Boyz, alongside fellow California artists Aston Matthews and Joey Fatts. Staples previously collaborated with the renowned group Odd Future, notably connecting with members like Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. Currently, he is signed to Motown Records and Talib Kweli's Blacksmith Records.
Staples gained significant attention through his contributions to various projects by Odd Future members, alongside his collaborative mixtape, *Stolen Youth*, with producer Mac Miller. His debut EP, *Hell Can Wait*, released in October 2014, showcased tracks like "Hands Up" and "Blue Suede." His first full-length album, *Summertime '06*, launched in June 2015, received widespread acclaim, further establishing his reputation in the music industry. Staples was recognized as part of the prestigious XXL 2015 Freshman Class.
Continuing to push musical boundaries, his second album, *Big Fish Theory*, came out in June 2017, featuring the singles "BagBak," "Big Fish," and "Rain Come Down," and embraced elements of avant-garde, dance, and electronic music.
