Alexander John Rebar (July 9, 1940 – November 19, 2021) was a multi-talented American producer, writer, and actor, best remembered for his role in the cult classic, The Incredible Melting Man.

Born on a farm in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Rebar grew up with a passion for horses and the outdoors. His formative years included education at Valley Forge Military Academy and Wilkes College, after which he served as a Photographer's Mate in the Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he relocated to Paris, where he co-founded the Studio Theater of Paris, showcasing his acting talent, and also managed a jazz club.

Rebar's career took him to Rome, where he worked with Production Cinitalia Edizone, lending his voice to Italian versions of films featuring renowned actors like Marcello Mastroianni and Klaus Kinski, as well as the animated series Mighty Mouse. He authored the screenplay for Beyond the Door, which paved the way for his notable performance in The Incredible Melting Man.

Throughout the 1980s, Rebar made significant television appearances on popular shows such as The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives, and Murder, She Wrote. He was also instrumental in producing and writing several cult films, including Demented, the slasher film To All a Goodnight, the horror/rock documentary Terror on Tour, and Home Sweet Home, a Thanksgiving-themed slasher.

In the early 2000s, he returned to the industry, producing online content, including a provocative series titled "Sex, Pain and Murder" for iFilm.
