Kathryn Lee Gifford is a multifaceted American television personality, singer, songwriter, occasional actress, and author. She gained widespread recognition for her impressive 15-year tenure on the daytime talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, where she co-hosted alongside Regis Philbin. Following this, she captivated audiences for 11 years on the fourth hour of NBC's Today show alongside Hoda Kotb. Over her career, Gifford has received 11 nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards, clinching her first win in 2010 as part of the Today team.

Gifford's television journey began in the mid-1970s when she appeared as Tom Kennedy's singer and sidekick on the syndicated game show Name That Tune, from 1974 to 1978. She also made occasional appearances during the main hours of Today and served as a contributing correspondent for NBC News.

In pursuit of a film career, Gifford departed from Today to explore roles as an actress, producer, and director. In 2018, she co-starred with Craig Ferguson in the film Then Came You and also appeared in the Hallmark Christmas movie A Godwink Christmas. Gifford has expressed a desire to create films that explore themes of loss and widowhood, which she believes are often overlooked in Hollywood. She has several upcoming projects, including sequels to Then Came You, further solidifying her impact in the entertainment industry.
